Our Beliefs.

Creation and sin.

There is one God who made the heavens and the earth, and all that lives on earth. Genesis 1-2.

The first man Adam, was created with the ability to make his own choices. When Adam and Eve sinned against God, they became the possessors of a fallen sinful nature. As all humanity comes from Adam and Eve, we are born with a sinful nature. Romans 5:12 “Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:”                                                                                                                                                             This means, that we will sin (not meet God’s standard of what is right) in this life. The reason being, we all have inherited a sinful nature.

Salvation. (Deliverance from our sin)

The bible makes it clear, that God will judge humanity, in relation to our sinful nature and the sins we commit in this life. Acts 17:31 “Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.”

The best we can do cannot save us. Ephesians 2:8-9. “not of works”.

God has provided his Son to be the saviour. John 3:16. Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

The Son our Lord Jesus Christ, suffered for our sins, died physically and rose again the third day, that we might be saved. 1 Corinthians 15:3-4.

When we trust the Lord Jesus as our saviour, we are born again.

The bible teaches we are no longer in Adam but in Christ. 1Corinthians 15:22  “For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.” We are no longer under the judgment that came because of Adam, BUT we possess the righteousness that comes by Christ.

John  5:24 “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.”

Romans 5:21 “That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.”

God forgives us, when we trust the Lord Jesus Christ as our saviour.

The Christian life.

Being born again in Christ, we now have spiritual life. But because we still have the same physical bodies we had, before we were born again, there still exists the sinful nature within the flesh. We can still sin. This does not affect our position as saved in Christ, but will affect our enjoyment of fellowship with God. Part of being born again, is the truth we are indwelt by the Holy Spirit. By his power, we can overcome the sinful desires of the sinful nature in our bodies.

The future for the Christian.

When we are saved we have eternal life, so there is life after death. When we pass from this life, the old sinful nature ceases to exist, when the body dies. In a coming day, we will receive new bodies, prepared for the enjoyment of eternal blessings. Then we shall enjoy the presence of our saviour for ever.

The Future for the world.

There is coming a time when the church period will end.

This is what we call the rapture. (Rapture means to catch up or take up). Those who are born again (true believers), will be taken up to heaven 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18. 1Thessalonians 1:10  “And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come.”

Then will come the tribulation period. This is a time when God will move in judgment upon the earth, because of sin.

After the tribulation period, Christ will return to earth to reign, for 1000 years.

One final rebellion will take place at the end of the 1000 years.

The end will bring the destruction of all who oppose God. All who have rejected God throughout the history of man, will appear before the Great White Throne of Judgment. Revelation 20:11-15. They will be under the judgment of God, in the lake of fire for ever.

God will then establish a new heaven and earth, into which sin will never enter in.
